The Unjournal works to make rigorous research more impactful and impactful research more rigorous. We make it easier for researchers to get feedback and credible ratings. We open up the “peer review black box”, making evaluations public, to help practitioners and researchers learn from research and use it.
We focus on quantitative work that informs global priorities, especially in economics, policy, and social science. We commission public journal-independent evaluation of hosted papers and dynamically-presented projects, and compensate evaluators. We publish evaluations, ratings, manager summaries, author responses, and links to evaluated research on this PubPub (see thematic “evaluation collections” above, or ‘search’ by name).
As the name suggests, we are not a journal. We don’t “publish”, i.e., we don’t claim ownership or host research. We don’t charge any fees. Instead, we offer an efficient, informative, useful, and transparent research evaluation system.
